Microscope

29.

Human consciousness, like a microscope, is highly adjustable. Both have a capacity for various levels of magnification, with each such level presenting a unique view of things. One level is no truer than any other, just different. The danger in the case of our mental microscope lies in an unwitting identification with one particular mechanism and so become enslaved in that particular view of things.
