The outpouring of insights since the author’s recent commitment to “finish the book” (which has been the mantra of many friends for quite some time) has been such that he recently observed, “It really does seem as if the latest insights, some the most profound of all, were all attempting to catch the ‘Last Train to Clarksville’—the title of favorite sixties song.” Well, not having the heart to keep any of them from boarding, and being even less inclined to re-shuffle the seating in the passenger cars yet again, they will be riding in this “Caboose.” Though “Tail-End Charlies,” as we used to call them in the Air Force, they offer some of the most startling insights of all and, as such, deserved to be included. Whether they serve as a fitting epilogue to the first volume of the What Is Truth? Series is left to the reader’s judgment.
